For as long as I can remember I have been interested in beautiful things – and especially in creating a beautiful home. I’m sure some of it has to do with my family’s business, JGR Tile & Stone.
My friends call me a surface specialist – which is kind of funny to me – but I guess it’s pretty accurate. I see an interior surface, maybe a countertop that needs updating or a wall that needs painting, and I am able to visualize what will work and what won’t. I like the challenge of finding just the right paint color or finish for a family room wall or just the right material for a kitchen countertop.
Your home should be reflective of the everyday living that is uniquely representative of your family. All your favorite colors and textures – creating a cozy place for you and the people you love most.
Before: The ceilings were at 8 feet. Lots of furdowns were throughout the kitchen. The cabinets were low and the dark molding, is a nice look but really lowered the ceilings even more.
After: Furdowns were removed when the ceilings were raised to 9 feet. Taller cabinets make the room look larger and taller than it really is.
